This Service page lists all the services that Bunny Haven offers along with a brief/detailed description and price of each. All services are subject to change.  These services may be limited during busy periods.  We will no longer be able to offer washing and grooming due to time.

Rabbit bottom washing

There is a huge risk to rabbits from blow fly strike if they are unclean and have dirty bottoms.  We regularly check rabbits 'bums' but there has been a significant increase in the amount of rabbits we are now having to wash.  As you can imagine cleaning bottoms is taking up alot of time.  We also need to disinfect bowls, towels, cleaning materials after each rabbit has been cleaned.   We use a soft gentle disinfectant in the water which we have obtained from our vets.  Due to the amount of time involved in cleaning rabbits there will now be a small charge made. Please bring with your rabbit their rearguard, or any other soothing gel you normally use and this will be applied as required.  Some guinea pigs suffer from a distressing condition that unables them to go to the toilet without a bit of help.  We have had prior experience in this  and are able to accommodate these guinea pigs, a charge will be made.

Fruit & Vegetables

Fruit & Vegetables - We provide all pets with a small selection of fruit and vegetables.  We offer a wide selection of fruit and vegetables ranging from, bananas, cucumbers, tomatoes, cabbage, spring greens, peppers, cauliflower, apples, carrots and pears. All subject to availability.  A charge will be made on rabbits or guinea pigs that only have a vegetable and fruit diet.

Medication

Medication - Some medication will be given to your rabbits or guinea pigs free of charge.  These include, soothing gels, pain relief drops, ear, eye, oral, creams and rearguard.  On arrival we must be given written instructions of all medication left including administration & dosage proceedures.  Any rabbit/guinea pig that requires more than the above medical care will be charged between £1.00 - £3.00 per day on top of the daily boarding rate.   It is therefore important we are aware of your rabbits/guinea pigs needs prior to their stay.  We will not administer injections.   If your pet has been ill prior to boarding and requires a follow up check up at your vets a charge will be made, the charge depends on where your vets are.

Maximum twice a day eye & ear drops, pain relief drops, creams, soothing gels - £ free

More than the above medical care - £1.00 - £3.00 per day on top of normal boarding rates (sliding scale price)

Follow up check up trip to vets £5.00 (within 5 mile radius)

£10.00 per visit (over 5 mile radius)
